Stock Synthesis

This page provides advice on using the Stock Synthesis general stock assessment software package. Stock Synthesis was developed by Rick Methot of the National Marine Fisheries Service and contains many of the features required to apply modern fisheries stock assessments. The latest versions of Stock Synthesis (SS2 and SS3) are programmed using AD Model Builder (developed by Dave Fournier) and therefore contain all the features of ADMB.
